The IMA Recreation Association rejuvinated baseball in Flint by establishing the IMA Greater Flint Baseball/Softball Commission in 2000. The Commission provides organized baseball and softball programs for kids throughout Genesee County with programs offered for kids 10 and under up to 18 years of age. The Commission also oversees the CBL Class A East and West for adults 18 and over. In 2003, the Commission added Girls fastpitch softball for high school girls with divisions offered to girls 13/under, 15/under and 18/under. The Commission currently has over 2,400 kids participating in these programs that are run out of Whaley and Broome Parks in Flint.

Bob Holec is the Commissioner of the IMA Greater Flint Area Baseball/Softball Commission and is a teacher at Flint Central High School.
